Looking back on 2011 (IV)
Frechen stands on top
To conclude the annual review we now focus on the months october, november and december. Usually the weather conditions lead to a lower rate of Buschball matches during that time yet there was enough to report thanks to two tournaments and one founding of a club.
The first of the tournaments was the third edition of the Klingen cup in Solingen. The winner was Hartmut from 1. BC Frechen. He was able to come out on top against Rutsche (1. BC Solingen 09) and Jörn (1. BC Frechen)by winning basically everything he could in the course of the tournament.
On December 10th the traditional Nikolaus tournament took place in Rheinhausen. Once again a player from Frechen took the top spot on the podium: Olaf won against Sonja (1. BC Solingen 09) and Markus (BBV Rheinhausen).
In between tournaments the players from Frechen had exercised themselves in bureaucracy and brought the 1. Buschball Club Frechen to life which in the meantime became a registered society. Following their achievements in 2011 the 1. BCF will also compete in the NRW league in 2012.
