Buschball rules

That's how...

The goal of the game is to hit the so-called "Pole" with a football. The Pole is a flagpole and both the flag and the pole are part of the goal.

First, the order of player is drawn. The first player places the Pole for the first round and the second player starts the match by trying to hit the Pole from the starting point with as little kicks as possible. After all players have tried to hit the Pole, the third player starts the second round and so on.

Every player is allowed nine kicks to hit the Pole. If he has not hit it by then, ten points are noted and it is the next player's turn. After every round the player(s) with the least kicks are awarded a Best Round which is marked down on the scorecard.

The first stage is completed when all players have placed the Pole once. Players may decide freely how many stages they want to play. The winner is that player who needed the least kicks in total. In case of a draw the number of Best Rounds decides the winner.

Note: During the match the ball may not be touched while moving. Before a kick loose objects (branches, twigs, stones, etc.) which lay behind the ball may be removed to allow a safe kick. Obstacles before and above the ball may not be moved or removed.

This summary of rules is quite sufficient for a private match. In official tournaments, however, the body of rules is applied.
